The inaugural Super High Roller Bowl Online Series continues at partypoker on May 25 and saw another three champions crowned. One of those champions, Daniel Dvoress, got his hands on the biggest prize of the series so far, one that weighed in at almost $614,000!
SHRB #05 – Super High Roller: $1M Gtd [6-Max, 2-Day Event]
This $25,500 buy-in event drew in a crowd of 71 entries and they were all outlasted by Canada’s Daniel Dvoress. Tournaments of this magnitude attract the best players in the business and this event was no different.
The top nine finishers won a slice of the $1,775,000 prize pool so spare a thought for Alex Foxen who fell in tenth place and burst the money bubble.
Emre Nuhoglu, John O’Shea and German star Ole Schemion all busted before the final table and banked $64,546 for their efforts.
Nick Petrangelo was the first of the six finalists to fall. He netted $79,875 and was followed to the showers by Dan Smith ($115,375), and Team partypoker’s Mikita Badziakouski ($159,750).
German superstar Fedor Holz crashed out in third for $213,000 to set up an enticing heads-up battle between Andras Nemeth and Dvoress. Dvoress brushed aside his Hungarian opponent to lock up the gargantuan $613,986 top prize and leave Nemeth to bank $399,375.
SHRB #06 – High Roller: $500K Gtd [6-Max, 2-Day Event]
Badziakouski fell in 10th for $22,740 with Jouhkimainen exiting in eighth-place for $26,975.
Chris Hunichen won a SHRB event a couple of days ago but had to make do with the $35,275 sixth-place prize this time around. Jouhkimainen’s fellow countryman Samuel Vousden scooped $51,875 when he busted in fifth before Nick Petrangelo and Dan Smith cashed yet again in a $10,300 buy-in event. The former won $72,625 with the latter netting $99,600.
After suffering the disappointment of bubble Event #5, Foxen made amends and reached heads-up in this event. He couldn’t quite get the job done, however, and had to console himself with $161,850 after he lost heads-up to Pascal Lefrancois who banked $259,628.
SHRB #04 – High Roller: $500K Gtd [6-Max, 2-Day Event]
Kristen Bicknell came super close to winning the SHRB #04 – High Roller: $500K Gtd [6-Max, 2-Day Event] but fell at the final hurdle. Bicknell navigated her way through the vast majority of the 106-strong crowd and found herself heads-up against Latvia’s Mikalai Vaskaboinikau.
The Latvian won the one-on-one battle and secured the $293,090 top prize. Bicknell padded her bankroll with $185,500 which will help numb the pain of not becoming an SHRB champion.
Earlier in the tournament, Bicknell’s teammate Roberto Romanello won $33,920 when he finished in eighth-place. Bicknell’s long-term partner Alex Foxen crashed out in fifth for $66,250 and Alexandros Kolonias helped himself to a $127,200 prize when he ran out of steam in third-place.
More SHRB Action Coming Your Way
Three other SHRB events crown their champions on May 26, two in $10,300 buy-in events and another $25,500 buy-in affair.
Bicknell is going great guns in one of the $10,300 events. She returns third in chips with 13 remaining and 11 being paid.
Viktor Blom is the man to catch in the $25,500 where only 12 of the original 68 starters have chips. The top nine spots are paid and $527,000 awaits the champion.
